Beloved regional concert series Good Nights is celebrating a major milestone this August with a special run of regional Western Australian shows to mark its 10th anniversary. This series honours a decade of intimate, all-ages performances that have brought more than 300 Australian artists to over 150 shows across regional Western Australia.

Founded in 2015 by Kelsie Miller, Good Nights began as a vision to create spaces where songwriters could perform to audiences that were present, engaged, and listening, something that was rare in regional areas at the time. That vision has since flourished into a celebrated movement that connects communities through the power of live music.

“Ten years ago, I ran my first Always Good Nights show in a tiny art studio in Bunbury. I had a vision to create intimate shows that gave songwriters a space to perform to an audience that was actually listening - something that didn't really exist in regional WA at the time. Since then, I have hosted over 300 shows from Port Hedland to Albany, bringing artists to communities who rarely get to experience live music. I am so proud of everything we have achieved through Good Nights over the past 10 years, and so incredibly grateful for all the support I have received along the way.”

Kelsie Miller, founder of Good Nights

What sets Good Nights apart is its commitment to delivering high-quality, meaningful experiences in non-traditional venues: art galleries, churches, cafés, warehouses, even backyards, transforming everyday spaces into magical environments where artists and audiences meet in shared connection.

Over the past decade, Good Nights has worked closely with local businesses, councils, and creatives to foster artistic exchange and community engagement across towns like Bunbury, Bridgetown, Denmark, Albany, Geraldton, Donnybrook, Dardanup and more.

The upcoming 10th anniversary concert series features a handpicked, specially curated lineup of talented singer-songwriters, continuing Good Night’s inclusive ethos that reflects the richness of Australia’s music landscape; and ensuring that every performance is authentic, intimate, and deeply human.

Good Nights’ commitment to being an all-ages event remains central to its character, giving young people and families the opportunity to experience music together in a safe, welcoming setting, something increasingly rare in the broader live music landscape.

This series of shows throughout August is made possible by funding from Creative Australia. Creative Australia funding has made it possible for Good Nights to continue over the past few years in a challenging time for live music, and their support is hugely appreciated.
